Keynote at the UK DWP annual conference on AI in Financial Decision Making

On 21st January 2026, Prof. Sophia Ananiadou, director of NaCTeM, gave a keynote talk at the UK Department for Work and Pensions' annual conference on AI in Financial Decision Making in Sheffield. Prof Ananiadou presented NaCTeM's work on building and evaluating more trustworthy measurable financial AI systems, examining how models behave over time, whether we can inspect their reasoning, whether that reasoning is valid step by step and whether they resist misinformation.
