ELLIS Workshop on Misinformation Detection - Presentation slides now available
2025-06-17
The rise of the internet and social media has significantly accelerated the spread of misinformation, posing serious societal challenges. While large language models (LLMs) offer new opportunities for misinformation detection, they also enable the creation of increasingly convincing false information, blurring the line between truth and deception.
This workshop, held on 16th June 2025, invited researchers and practitioners to explore the dual role of LLMs in misinformation - both as a tool for detection and a challenge in itself. We aim to foster discussions on state-of-the-art techniques, emerging trends, and future directions in misinformation detection, ultimately working toward comprehensive frameworks that address the complex and evolving nature of this issue.
Presentation slides from the workshop talks are now available on the workshop website shown below.
