Title: | Task-Oriented Anaphora Resolution |
Date: | 15 February 2008 at 13:00 p.m. |
Location: | Room LG.010 in MIB Building |
Abstract: | In this talk I will discuss our work on anaphora resolution, in particular of the development of the GUITAR system and the BART toolkit. These systems were developed as off-the-shelf tools to be used as components of HLT pipelines, and GUITAR in particular has been evaluated not just in terms of precision / recall with respect to an annotated corpus, but also in terms of its contributions to the performance of systems doing summarization, mining relations from biomedical texts, and entity disambiguation.
