JISC interviews Sophia Ananiadou about new NaCTeM business model
2012-05-04
NaCTeM was funded by JISC for 7 years, between 2004 and 2011. Now that NaCTeM is being run independently of JISC funding, Nicola Yeeles recently interviewed Prof. Sophia Ananiadou, director of the centre, about the benefits that the tools and services offered by the centre can bring to both the academic and industrial communities, and how NaCTeM's new business model, which ensures both national and international visibility, has led to continued funding from academic and industrial sources. This means that, unlike many commercial vendors, NaCTeM can continue to develop tools and services that can be specifically tailored to the needs of different types of users.
The full interview is available as a JISC podcast.
