Herein, we report two cases of squamous cell carcinoma of the ureter. The first case was in a 56-year-old-male. Total cystectomy and ileal conduit were performed because of bladder tumor suspected to be accompanied by carcinoma in situ and atrophic urinary bladder induced by chronic cystitis in December, 1993. Pathological examination revealed transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) > squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), G2 > G1, INF beta, pT1, 1y1, v1. He complained of
back pain
under medical observation in December, 1994. Left hydronephrosis was found and antegrade pyelography showed leakage from the left pelvic ureteral junction. Urinary cytology revealed class V and suggested TCC. He received left nephroureterectomy, and pathohistological examination of resected specimen revealed SCC, INF gamma,
pT3
, pRo, pLx, pVx, pNo, pMo. CABO chemotherapy (cisplatin, methotrexate, bleomycin, vincristine) was performed postoperatively. The second case was in a 61-year-old female. She complained of macrohematuria in the course of observation of pyelonephritis. Drip infusion pyelography showed right hydronephrosis and retrograde ureterogram revealed stenosis of the right lower ureter. Urinary cytology revealed class V. Nephroureterectomy and bladder cuff were performed. The tumor was histologically diagnosed as SCC > TCC, INF beta,
pT3
, pRo, pLo, pVo, pNo, pMo. Postoperatively, CABO chemotherapy was performed. So far, no recurrence has been observed. Fifty five cases of squamous cell carcinoma of ureter were collected from the Japanese literatures including our cases.

We report two cases of spontaneous urinary rupture caused by primary ureteral or renal pelvic cancer. Case 1: A 76-year-old man presented with macrohematuria and left
back pain
. Magnetic resonance imaging showed left middle ureteral tumor and rupture of upper ureter. Left nephroureterectomy was performed. Histological findings revealed urothelial carcinoma, G2, pT1, lt-u0, ew0, ly0, v1. At five months postoperatively, he died of lymph node metastases after two courses of adjuvant chemotherapy. Case 2: A 59-year-old man presented with macrohematuria and left
back pain
. Computer tomography showed left renal pelvic tumor with extravasation of urine. Left nephroureterectomy was performed. Examination of surgical specimen revealed a renal pelvic tumor and rupture hole at the renal pelvis. Histological finding revealed urothelial carcinoma, G3,
pT3
, lt-u0, ly0, v1. One course of adjuvant chemotherapy was performed. At six months postoperatively, he was free from recurrence.

A 65-year-old man with
back pain
showed a hypovascular lesion of the head of the pancreas on dynamic computed tomography and abdominal ultrasonography. The distal portion of the pancreas was not visible. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography revealed pancreatic duct obstruction, and the duodenal minor papilla was not visible. Therefore, we diagnosed the patient's condition as stage IVa pancreatic cancer with congenital agenesis of the dorsal pancreas. The patient underwent successful chemotherapy with 3 courses of gemcitabine and S-1, which was followed by pancreaticoduodenectomy. Pathological staging revealed invasive ductal carcinoma,

, pN0, pM0, stage III. We report a rare case of pancreatic cancer with congenital agenesis of the dorsal pancreas.

A 50-year-old man underwent thorough examination for a chief complaint of melena. Gastric cancer and right kidney cancer were diagnosed. The gastric cancer was in the antrum, and poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma was diagnosed by biopsy. The right kidney cancer was diagnosed as clear cell carcinoma by computed tomography-guided biopsy. We performed right nephrectomy and distal gastrectomy. The final diagnosis of the gastric cancer was por2,
pT3
( ss), pN3b( 46/ 61), M0, pStage IIIB, R0, and that of the kidney cancer was clear cell carcinoma, pT3a, pN0, pM0. The patient reported lower
back pain
approximately 2 months after surgery. Several examinations revealed that the patient had multiple bone metastases, disseminated carcinomatosis of the bone marrow, and disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC).We treated the bone metastasis with denosumab and palliative radiation therapy and the gastric cancer with weekly paclitaxel (PTX). The DIC subsided during the first course but recurred during the discontinuation period. We attempted additional trastuzumab treatment but did not achieve a curative effect, and the patient died. It is necessary to provide appropriate medical care while taking into consideration the possibility of disseminated carcinomatosis of the bone marrow in cases with a high likelihood of lymph node metastasis.
