Inadvertent placement of the urinary catheter into the
ureter
can cause several complications. We describe a rare complication during cystogram due to unrecognized inadvertently placed urinary catheter in
ureter
, resulting in a life-threatening situation. A 47-year-old multiparous female underwent total laparoscopic hysterectomy for adenomyosis. During early postoperative period, she developed vesicovaginal fistula and transvaginal repair of fistula was done. During filling cystography done at 2 weeks, she developed right loin pain and
urosepsis
. Contrast extravasation was seen in the right renal subcapsular space with Foley's catheter inside the right
ureter
. Subsequently, she recovered well.

Hernias of pelvic floor are very rare condition, and herniations of
ureter
into sciatic foramen are extremely rare condition which is globally reported only by 32 cases. Clinical aspects of ureterosciatic hernias appeared variously according to the degree of hydronephrosis, inflammation and infection of kidney due to ureter obstruction. Herein, we report our experience of laparoscopic repair in a patient with ureterosciatic hernia combined
urosepsis
.

Ureteral stents are used to establish patency in a non-draining
ureter
, as they are commonly placed in etiologies such as ureteral obstruction and urological surgery. One complication that occurs with stent placement is the absence of follow-up to remove the device. This may be due to a myriad of reasons, including non-compliance and lack of patient education. Forgotten stents can pose a dangerous scenario, as a retained stent can lead to urinary tract obstruction,
urosepsis
, and even kidney failure. In this study, we present a case of a Spanish-speaking patient with a retained ureteral stent who presented with left flank pain due to not understanding the need for stent follow-up.

Ureterosciatic hernia and ureteral diverticulum are rare conditions. Only a few cases with surgical management for these conditions have been reported. We report a case of ureteral diverticulum due to ureterosciatic hernia in an 85-year-old woman admitted for septic shock. Computed tomography and retrograde ureterography revealed obstructive ureterosciatic hernia. During intraoperative laparoscopic mesh repair for the hernia after
urosepsis
treatment, we noted ureteral diverticulum that was also detected endoscopically at the herniated
ureter
wall. Suture plication was performed to prevent stricture and hernia mesh infection. To our knowledge, this is the first report on ureteral diverticulum due to ureterosciatic hernia.

A 76 year-old male presented with
urosepsis
and acute renal injury secondary to obstruction by a 13 mm stone located in the common segment of a bifid left
ureter
. A second 10 mm stone was detected in the mid calyx of the lower moiety of the kidney. Drainage of both moieties with two double-J stents was initially performed. Following recovery from
urosepsis
a retrograde endoscopic semirigid and flexible laser lithotripsy of the distal and proximal stone respectively was performed resulting in stone clearance. Although retrograde ureterolithotripsy has been presented in the past, to the best of the authors' knowledge, this is the first description of flexible retrograde intrarenal lithotripsy performed through a bifid
ureter
.

Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) is feasible in the extremely elderly patients. However, there were higher rate of complications and longer hospitalizations. The case presented is a 95-year-old female who was admitted to the hospital and was diagnosed with multiple stones in the right kidney and upper
ureter
with right renal effusion and infection,
urosepsis
, and chronic bronchitis. After sufficient preoperative preparation, small-tract PCNL under vacuum suctioning was performed using the left lateral position under combined lumbar spinal and epidural anesthesia. The patient recovered and was discharged smoothly on schedule. Good clinical and social effects have achieved.
