A case of chorioadenoma destruens with uterine rupture is reported. The patient was admitted because a persistent uterine bleeding after abortion about two months before. The titulation of gonadotrophic hormone resulted in 25,000 unities. After curettage she was complicated with hemoperitoneum and went to surgery. During hysterectomy were identified trophoblastic tissue in the broad ligament and partial blocking of the right ureter. After repeated chemotherapy she presented severe immuno depression and sepsis complicated with hemopericardium and died five months after the first admission. The pathology study demonstrated a perforation because a trophoblastic invasion in the right side of the cervix and in the autopsy was demonstrated right ureteral obstruction due to a fibro necrotic an inactive trophoblastic tissue determining significant right hydro-uretero nephrosis.

A cystadenoma or a cystadenocarcinoma arising from the renal pelvis is a rare neoplasma and, so far as is known, only two cases have been reported in the literature (Arcadi, 1956, and Ross, 1985). Discussed herein is a case of a 63-year-old woman who developed a mucinous nephrosis, due to a marked retention of mucin produced by a tumor. The ureter as well was found to be involved. The histogenesis of an adenocarcinoma, which includes a cystadenoma and a cystadenocarcinoma, most likely is due to a glandular metaplasia, associated with urolithiasis and pyelonephritis. In this specific case, the patient revealed a history, fifteen years earlier, of renal calculi and pyelonephritis.

In the treatise the authors aimed to find some early signs of aggravation on the treated uterine cervical cancers by routine clinical methods. Initially nine autopsy materials died of cancer were studied to survey the anatomical spreading and each documented. Then their ante mortem findings were summarized to review. Secondarily chief complains and clinical manifestations collected above were investigated among twenty one patients who were clearly attacked and/or died of recurrence. As a control thirteen patients free from the disease were encountered. Progressive pain associated with edema either in ipsilateral low back, limbs or lower abdomen was one of the most suspicious signs of intra-pelvic recurrence. Palpable noduli and thickening of parametrial areas and pelvic walls were as well a sign of exacerbation, if they appeared after treatments. Repeating urinary infection and aggravating hydro-nephrosis et-ureter frequently implied an insidious sign of pelvic recurrence. Continuing obstinate cough may be suggestive for pulmonary metastasis and needs chest roentgenogram. Increased serum alkaline phosphatase, LDH and ESR, and decreased peripheral lymphocyte count were frequently observed in the recurrent group. A suspicious or positive vaginal cytology was mostly indicative for pathological examination that would give us a final validity. Biopsy was done for superficial enlargements.

A 4-day-old alpaca cria presented for inappetence that responded to symptomatic treatment. The cria re-presented with acute signs of inappetence and azotaemia. The azotaemia persisted despite intravenous fluid therapy. There was no right kidney on ultrasound and there appeared to be perirenal oedema around the left kidney. A diagnosis of right renal agenesis and acute renal failure of the left kidney was made. The cria failed to improve and was euthanased. Necropsy examination confirmed right renal agenesis and agenesis of the right ureter and right renal artery. A section of left kidney submitted for histological examination revealed diffuse, acute, marked tubular degeneration and nephrosis. The cause of the renal failure in the left kidney was not determined.

The aims of this study were to demonstrate a case of bilateral intravesical ureterocele associated with megacystis and mega-ureters, unilateral partial duplication of the ureter and unilateral segmental renal dysplasia of the upper pole and an accessory spleen and to propose an addition of the new variant to the classification of ureteroceles. A perinatal necropsy was conducted on the 21-week fetus by employing the Rokitansky procedure with evisceration performed in blocks. The autopsy revealed the aforementioned abnormalities without cardiac or neural anomalies. The amniocentesis report was normal. Ureterocele is a saccular expansion of the distal ureter. It is most commonly observed in females and children and usually affects the upper moiety of a complete pyeloureteral duplication. Four types of ureteroceles are described: (A) ureterocele with single ureter (10%); (B) ureterocele with total duplication and intravesical development (10%); (C) ureterocele with total duplication and extravesical development (62%); and (D) ureterocele with ectopic ureter (3%). One case in a new born with bilateral intravesical ureterocele associated with hydrouretero-nephrosis and hyperechogenic spots in kidneys has been reported, but bilateral intravesical ureterocele with unilateral incomplete pyeloureteral duplication has never been described in the literature.

Distal ureteric stricture is a common complication of urinary schistosomiasis which is a disease more prevalent in the tropics and subtropics. The surgical management of this complication is more challenging when it affects more than half of both ureters. We report the case of a 17-year-old Nigerian with a long standing recurrent painless terminal hematuria associated with bilateral colicky loin pains. Ultrasound scan showed bilateral hydro ureters and hydro nephrosis with deranged biochemical renal function. The patient had bilateral tube nephrostomy and antibiotic therapy. Definitive bilateral ureteric substitution was done using Mitrofanoff technique for the right ureter and Yang-Montie technique for the left ureter. The patient's renal function became normal and he was discharged home without complication. The related literatures were reviewed. Surgical nonurothelial ureteral substitution is necessary for long, extensive, severe bilateral ureteric strictures so as to prevent progressive renal damage and end stage renal failure.

A 78-year-old man had fatigue and appetite loss for 5 months. He had been receiving low-dose methotrexate for rheumatoid arthritis. Computed tomography revealed multiple pulmonary infiltrations and muddiness of the fatty tissue surrounding the right kidney, ureter wall thickening, and hydroureter/nephrosis, which were suspected retroperitoneal fibrosis. Lung biopsy revealed polymorphic/lymphoplasmacytic lymphoproliferative disorder. Methotrexate withdrawal resulted in spontaneous regression. Therefore, retroperitoneal lesion may account for the diagnosis as having retroperitoneal lymphoproliferative disorder, not retroperitoneal fibrosis.

Case 2--19 -year old patient with endometrial kystoma, originating at the uterine fundus with with elevated C-125 levels. Case 3--22 year old patient with monstrous tecoma permagnum, ascites and concomitant pleural effusions as in Meigs syndrome. Case 4--66 year old patient, multiparous with granular cell tumor, recurrent uterine bleeds and endometrial poliposis, with ambiguous C-125 level and congenital uterus bicornis bicolis anomaly. Duplication of the ureters with distal, supra-sphincteric, prostatic implantation is an uncommon congenital anomaly. We report a case of a 35 year-old men presenting with pelvic pain with lower urinary tract symptoms for at least 3 months duration. On magnetic resonance urograms double collecting system in the left kidney and also hydro-uretero-nephrosis in the collecting system which drained the upper pole of the left kidney were seen. The ureter draining the upper pole of the left kidney was seen to open into the prostatic utricle with an ureterocele and multiple stones. Left ureteroneocystostomy was performed.
