The article highlights the results of the study of the influence of osteopontin on the development of pulmonary hypertension in patients with COPD in combination with
IHD
. 121 patients with established diagnosis of COPD and
IHD
were randomized for the study, all patients underwent general clinical examination, spirography, ECG to determine the level of pulmonary artery pressure, a questionnaire according to the Borg and mMRC scales, and a 6-minute walk test. All patients were divided into 2 groups: group 1 (63 people) with the increased PA pressure, group 2 - comparison group - without PH (58 people). The conducted study suggests that the concentration of circulating osteopontin above 38.25 ng/ml can be considered as an early marker and an independent predictor of pulmonary hypertension in patients with COPD and concomitant
IHD
. In the PH (main) group osteopontin statistically significantly positively correlated with the age of patients, the right atrial area and the plasma level of interleukin 2 (IL-2).
Interleukin 4
(
IL-4
), which is a marker of anti-inflammatory plasma activity, does not correlate with either pulmonary hypertension or osteopontin level, which indicates insufficient.
