Little-know contraindications for i.v. cholangiocholecystography with water-soluble hexaiodated contrast media are presented. Particular reference is made to suspected cholecystic lithiasis and dysprotidaemic patients or those undergoing treatment with sulphamides, salicylic acid, barbiturates, etc. Lastly, reference is made to the suitability of cholegraphy in suspected acute cholecystitis. Here, in fact, this method is preferable to oral cholecystography.
