214 children of different age with various forms of bronchitis were subject to immunological and biochemical examination. Against a background of hypoxic state of patients the values of quantitative indices of cellular immunity (E-RFC, blast-transformation reaction with phytohemagglutination) were revealed to decrease and dysimmunoglobulinemia-to form. It is shown that in the period of exacerbation of clinical symptoms of bronchitis the concentration of malonic dialdehyde and resistance of erythrocyte membranes to peroxide hemolysis significantly increase. Analysis of peroxidation level against a background of improvement of clinical indices after the performed treatment indicates that there is no tendency to normalization of metabolic disorders. The above results show that it is necessary to carry out normobaric hypoxic stimulation aimed at treating and preventing bronchitis in children of early age.

Fibrinolytic system, immune reactivity and isoelectric focusing of serum albumin were examined in 94 patients exhibiting combination of obstructive lung disease (chronic obstructive bronchitis and bronchial asthma) with atherosclerosis. Plasminogen activator showed discrete activity, the discreteness being less in respiratory distress of the I degree but higher in the distress of the II and III degree. Relative number of E-RFC and monocytes expressing receptors to IgM and IgG Fc-fragment decreased. Percentage of EAC-RFC rose. Serum albumin fractions changed pH range due to modification of albumin molecules resultant from forming complexes with fibrinogen degradation products. Concentration of the latter under conditions of respiratory distress induced by obstructive lung diseases associated with atherosclerosis substantially exceeded the standard levels.

Physiotherapeutic and other methods were employed for the treatment of patients with chronic nonobstructive bronchitis (CNB), chronic bronchitis with transient obstruction of the small bronchi of inflammatory genesis, chronic asthmatic bronchitis (CAB) and chronic obstructive bronchitis (COB). The level of secretory IgA and relative E-RFC number in the bronchial wash off, lysozyme concentration, the level of IgA and titer of heterophilic normal antibodies in the saliva were assessed. The content of T- and B-lymphocytes in the blood was studied. The results were assessed with a method of discrete-dynamic analysis. It was established that the incorporation of inductothermia with ethonium-electrophoresis and the magnetic field effect on the thyroid in CAB and inductothermia with ethonium-electrophoresis in COB in the complex of therapeutic measures produced a positive effect. In CNB (inactive phase) and COB patients inductothermia resulted in restoration of some interrelationships in the immune system whereas in CAB patients in their dysbalance. Different changes in the levels of interrelationships of certain parameters of the immune system were observed in the incorporation of sinusoidal modulated currents in the therapeutic complexes.
