mutation and in one adrenal insufficiency was the first manifestation ofadrenoleukodystrophia. The boys recovered after treatment. It is important to recognise the symptoms of adrenal insufficiency, because treatment can be life-saving. After the initial diagnosis the underlying pathology should be sought.
