Primary fibrosarcoma of the central nervous system (CNS) is an extremely rare tumor. To the best of our knowledge, only 40 cases have been reported in the literature. We document such a case in a 9-year-old child who presented with a short history of headache and
vomiting
. A mass was completely removed and histologic examination revealed a primary fibrosarcoma with features resembling solitary fibrous tumor, meningioma, and
malignant fibrous histiocytoma
. In addition, the tumor was associated with meningioangiomatosis. A primary CNS fibrosarcoma with these features is most unusual and rendered a precise diagnosis difficult.

Adult intussusception secondary to primary sarcoma is a rare cause of small bowel obstruction. Only a few cases of
malignant fibrous histiocytoma
(
MFH
) of small bowel presenting as an intussusception have been reported in the literatures. We report a case of small bowel obstruction associated with jejuno-ileal intussusception caused by
MFH
. A 75-year-old man was admitted with an one-month history of
vomiting
and epigastric pain aggravated with meals. He was diagnosed as an jejuno-ileal intussusception based on CT scanning and underwent small bowel resection and anastomosis. Resected specimens revealed a polypoid tumor in the ileum and the histology of the tumor was consistent with
MFH
.

We describe a case of intracranial
malignant fibrous histiocytoma
which had infiltrated pons, cerebellum and basal surface of left temporal lobe without any visible mass. The patient presented with a sudden loss of consciousness and
vomiting
. Clinical findings, laboratory tests, imaging and examination of the cerebrospinal fluid tended to establish the diagnosis of an infectious condition than a malignancy. Without any response to the antibiotics and with a progressive deterioration of neurologic and mental condition, the patient died after 20 days. In the autopsy, histological and immunohistochemical study of the brain revealed the diagnosis of
malignant fibrous histiocytoma
(
MFH
).

A 69-year-old male, treated for colonic carcinoma 15 years back, presented to our services with status epilepticus. He had complaints of headache and
vomiting
for 7 days prior to presentation. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging of the brain revealed heterogeneous, lobulated and osteolytic tumor involving middle and posterior cranial fossa. Excision of the tumor was planned in two stages. Middle fossa component was removed through right temporobasal approach. Histopathology was suggestive of
malignant fibrous histiocytoma
. Patient succumbed to pneumonia and septicemia in the postoperative period. Pathology, clinical features and therapeutic challenges of this clinical entity have been briefly reviewed.
