as a hexahistidine-tagged protein in Escherichia coli and purified it to apparent homogeneity using affinity chromatography. A polyclonal antibody raised against this recombinant protein was used to show that

by transfection did not inhibit the replication of vesicular

virus and encephalomyocarditis virus.
