The NWHN (National Women's Health Network) is a nonprofit organization representing more than 100 health groups in the U.S.; the network serves as a communication and action network for the Women's Health Movement, and publishes a bimonthly newsletter to disseminate critical information on women's health issues. The network focuses much of its activities on issues of safe contraception and legal abortion, and against sterilization abuse, and against the use of contraceptive methods, such as the injectable Depo-Provera, which are of quesblonalbe safety, and are mostly administered to minorities, poor, mentally retarded or institutionalized women.
