Heparin induced thrombocytopenia (HIT) is a relatively common complication of heparin therapy, occurring in approximately 5% of patients treated with this drug. HIT may be associated with diffuse arterial and venous thrombosis. The case of a patient without underlying

who developed a right ventricular thrombus and recurrent pulmonary emboli in association with and possibly as a complication of HIT is reported.
