Spontaneous renal artery dissection is a
rare disease
and an uncommon cause of renal infarction. The patient was a man who presented to the emergency room with sudden-onset right
flank pain
. Computed tomography revealed right renal infarction; thus, anticoagulation was initiated. Renal angiography revealed luminal narrowing of the segmental artery to the superior pole of right kidney without a dissection flap or false lumen. We stopped anticoagulation due to a lack of evidence of thrombi or luminal narrowing of the dissected vessels. When patients present with acute
flank pain
, it is important to suspect renal infarction and to perform a correct diagnostic workup, even when the patient shows normal urinalysis results and a normal LDH value.

Although renal involvement is common in non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL), primary renal NHL is a
rare disease
. Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common subtype of NHL and is responsible for 30-40% of adult NHL cases globally. Here, we present a case of a 68-year-old man with right
flank pain
who underwent retroperitoneal laparoscopic radical nephrectomy for an enlarged right kidney, with evidence of an infiltrating mass. Postoperative histopathological examination revealed primary renal DLBCL. Primary renal lymphoma (PRL) is quite rare, and clinicians should try to ensure early diagnosis and treatment with standardized and systematic chemotherapy.

Idiopathic retroperitoneal fibrosis is a
rare disease
. Symptoms include constitutional symptoms and abdominal/
flank pain
. Causes of retroperitoneal fibrosis include non-infectious and infectious etiologies. Of the infectious etiologies, tuberculous aortitis is an important differential as it is associated with a high mortality rate. We present a case of a 59-year-old man with a retroperitoneal periaortic mass initially diagnosed as tuberculous aortitis. However following biopsy, the diagnosis was later amended to idiopathic retroperitoneal fibrosis with latent tuberculosis. He was successfully treated with prednisone and methotrexate.

Renal hydatid cyst is a
rare disease
comprising of about 2-3% of all locations. We present a case of renal hydatid disease in a 48-year-old female patient who presented with a history of left
flank pain
without fever or hematuria. Ultrasonography and computed tomography showed a 3-cm cystic lesion Bosniak IV occupying the mid-zone of the left kidney diagnosed as renal malignancy. Laparoscopic partial nephrectomy was performed, but the histopathological examination of the lesion revealed hydatid cysts. Isolated renal hydatid cyst is very rare, especially in developed countries and can be misdiagnosed as a renal cell carcinoma pre-operatively.
