Two-hundred twenty eight students of Warsaw Medical University (98 males and 130 females) completed a questionnaire providing information on health perceptions, somatic complaints, chronic diseases and hospital stay. Over 90% of students reported their health status in good and very good categories. The most common complaints were
fatigue
and
nervous exhaustion
. The average prevalence of chronic diseases was 30% among women and 9.2% among men. About 4% of male students and 10% of female students were hospitalized in the past 12 months.
