In patients with ischemic heart disease (IHD), neurocirculatory
dystonia
(NCD) and acute myocardial infarction (AMI), we observed significant, positive, linear correlations between total concentration of non-etherified fatty acids (NEFA) as well as between the percentage of individual fatty acids in arterial and coronary sinus blood. Correlation analysis of the results demonstrated that in patients with IHD and NCD there is significant myocardial NEFA extraction which is highly reduced by electrically induced myocardial ischemia in patients with IHD and by increased myocardial load in patients with NCD. These changes are more evident in patients with IHD. Patients with AMI exhibited minor myocardial NEFA extraction, similar to that in patients with IHD after stimulation, but much higher NEFA concentration in arterial and coronary sinus blood. Determination of NEFA levels in arterial and coronary sinus blood in patients with AMI and their temporal dynamics may be helpful for evaluation of the degree of the disease severity and can also be of prognostic value.

Malonic dialdehyde (MDA) content was studied in 23 patients with CHD due to coronary atherosclerosis, and in 6 with neurocirculatory
dystonia
without clinical and angiographic signs of CHD. MDA content as an indirect equivalent of cyclic endoperoxides was higher in the platelets, LDL and VLDL in patients with CHD. It may be a cause of TxA2 and PGI2 unbalance in the blood circulation and leads to the activation of thrombus formation, the decrease in the synthesis of "antiatherogenic" biologically active substances, in particular PGI2, thus promoting the development of CHD due to coronary atherosclerosis.

Seventeen patients with vegetovascular
dystonia
with hypertensive reactions, 19 patients with essential hypertension at IB-IIA stages, and 26 hypertensive patients at IIB stage of the disease underwent fluorescein-angiographic study of the perilimbal conjunctiva and limb. The advantage of this method as compared to the biomicroscopic one, is that it allows one to obtain objectively documented information on the state of vessels and velocity of blood flow in them. It was established that by the method of fluorescein-angiography of the perilimbal conjunctiva region and limb there may be detected pathologic changes in the microcirculation of the field under study not only at early stages of essential hypertension but also in vegetovascular
dystonia
patients with hypertensive reactions, when changes on the fundus of the eye were absent.
