Chondroma
of the trachea is an extremely rare neoplasm. A patient is described who required surgical treatment for this abnormality on three separate occasions over a nineteen-year period. The last two instances represent either local recurrence or new primary growths. The most recent presentation was that of a very large mediastinal mass causing tracheal compression,
dysphagia
, and superior vena caval obstruction. The clinical and pathological features of chondromas of the tracheobronchial tree are discussed. Because of its recognized potential for local recurrence, a localized
chondroma
of the trachea is best managed by tracheal resection.

A 41 year old man with a history of politrauma presented with a nodular mass of the left false vocal cord, associated with progressive dysphonia, dyspnoea, and
dysphagia
. A computed tomography scan of the neck region showed a rounded and circumscribed mass without infiltration of the surrounding tissues. Histological investigation of the nodule revealed the presence of fibroelastic cartilaginous tissue, surrounded by a thin rim of fibrous tissue, with rare hypercellular areas, occasional binucleated cells, slight hyperchromasia, and an irregular nuclear profile. Mitotic activity was absent. The patient's history of laryngeal trauma, with the subsequent progressive onset of clinical symptoms, helps to distinguish the chondrometaplastic nature of this nodule from true laryngeal cartilaginous tumours, such as
chondroma
and low grade chondrosarcoma.

Chondromas
are benign tumor of cartilaginous tissue that is rarely found in spine. The authors document a rare case of a 72 year old male patient with a cervical spinal
chondroma
compressing the spinal cord. The patient had symptoms of motor and sensory deficits,
dysphagia
and dysarthria. C1 and C2 laminotomy was done and the spinal tumor was removed. The patient gradually recovered from his previous symptom after the surgery.

Chondromas
rarely occur in the nasal area and are usually found in the metaphyseal area of the phalanges and metacarpals of the hands, as well as the pelvis, sternum and scapula. The authors present an unusual case of
dysphagia
induced by histologically confirmed
chondroma
arising from the nasal septum. Treatment is to completely remove the mass with adequate margins of normal tissues to prevent recurrence and malignancy. Intranasal endoscopic removal of tumor with an adequate margin of normal tissue. After one year of treatment, there was no evidence of recurrence. We present a case of nasal septal
chondroma
in 18-year-old male. Keywords:
