is caused by the varicella zoster virus, which mainly affects the facial nerve. The typical clinical features of

are peripheral facial paralysis and ear herpes. In this case, initial symptoms were hoarseness and

, afterwards typical symptom occurred 5 days later which were earache, late-onset herpes, and facial paralysis.
