Results are submitted of investigations designed to study central hemodynamics and intracardiac kinetics in young patients with ischemic heart disease (IHD). In young coronary patients the course of the disease has been shown to be more often accompanied by the development of cardiac aneurism than in the elder ones in spite of the presence in the latter of more significant changes in their echocardiograms. Concomitant with aggravation of clinical manifestations of IHD (higher functional class of stable
angina
) there is an increase in the size of the left ventricle and decrease in the ejection fraction. It has been shown that hemodynamic parameters are closely related to both veloergometry indices and levels of cholesterol of high density lipoproteins
