Thirty four cases of primary retroperitoneal tumors treated in our hospital during a period of thirteen years are presented. The predominant clinical picture consisted of
abdominal pain
(57%) and paraneoplasic syndrome (42.8%) with palpable abdominal mass in 79.4% of patients. We highlight the diagnostic value of
TAC
and ultrasound in these lesions. Surgical treatment was performed in 33 patients, 19 patients underwent radical resection, 3 partial resection and a biopsy was performed in 12 patients. The relapse index after radical surgery was 68.4%. Chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy was given to 70.5% of the patients. The five year survival for solid tumors was 10%.

The spontaneous extraperitoneal bladder rupture is an uncommon event and the diagnosis is very difficult. It is defined like the rupture of bladder wall in absence of traumatism or iatrogenic techniques. The extravasation usually is produced into the peritoneal cavity, because of the greater weakness of the vesical dome. The diagnosis is based on the retrograde cystography, being necessary the surgical treatment in the intraperitoneal rupture, while the extraperitoneal one, could be treated in a conservative way with a vesical catheter. Here we present a case of spontaneous extraperitoneal bladder rupture, with oliguria,
abdominal pain
and a right hypochondrius mass as clinic presentation. Due to this, the diagnosis was made by the
TAC
, in which it was appreciated a continuity solution in the anterior bladder wall, with a contrast extravasation through the anterior abdominal wall. The retrograde cystography confirmed the definitive diagnosis. The treatment followed was based on the keeping of the vesical catheter and antibiotherapy.

Neutropenic enterocolitis or typhlitis (from the Greek typhlon, meaning caecum) is defined as a necrotizing colitis with inflammation of the cecum and surrounding tissues. Although this condition occurs primarily in severely myelosuppressed and immunosuppressed patients with leukemia, it may also occur in those with other advanced malignancies receiving myelosuppressive chemotherapy. It has been described most recently in patients with solid tumors who receive taxane-based therapy. A 60-year old woman with medullary breast cancer stage IIIB underwent neoadjuvant chemotherapy with
TAC
(doxetaxele 100 mg/m2, doxorubicin 50 mg/m2 and cyclophosphamide 600 mg/m2). Sixth day after
TAC
chemotherapy, she had
abdominal pain
and vomiting. Abdomen CT scan showed diffuse circumferential thickening of ileum wall typical for ileitis, narrowing of the lumen, disturbance of peristaltic. This abdomen CT scan was thought as abnormality pictures of neutropenic enterocolitis. Neutropenic enterocolitis should be considered in patients with abdominal symptoms especially during the granulocyte nadir following chemotherapy. Increased awareness of this rapidly progressive and potentially fatal disease leads to accurate diagnosis and the prompt treatment that can decrease morbidity and mortality.

We present a 15 year male patient with more than 2 years of clinical symptoms. Patient has
abdominal pain
with episodes of partial intestinal occlusion, recurrent diarrhea, weight loss and fever. Lab findings were PCR: 92, 17: albumine: 3,2 gr/dl, microcitic hipocromic anemia (10 gr%). Hepatoesplenomegaly in the Echo in
TAC
there was a thickness of the distal ileum and right colon with free liquid in the abdominal cavity. Intestinal transit: Stenosis of the distal ileum. In a colonoscopy: ulcers in the right colon with biopsies that suggest Crohn disease. Endoscopic capsule: ulcerative ileitis. The patient was discharged with prednisone and azatioprine but because there were new episodes of intestinal occlusion surgery was decided. The outcome was good and in the post surgery treatment Infliximab was used. We discuss medical and surgical treatment options.
