We present a case of

in a 60-year-old woman, who had severe hypertension with hypokalaemia and metabolic alkalosis. Investigation revealed an elevated serum

level; the tumour stained for

on immunocytochemistry. The serum

level fell on successful treatment of the primary. We suggest that this is the first reported case of
uterine leiomyosarcoma
shown to be producing
renin
