The oral LD50 of hymenoxon in Swiss white mice was found to be 241 +/- 37 mg/kg. No significant sex differences were observed. Pretreatment of male mice for 3 days using doses of 50 and 100 mg/kg hymenoxon failed to alter significantly pentobarbital sleeping time.
