The study aimed at assessing the value

assay in
CFS
as indicator of the damage to blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier and intensification of inflammatory process in the course of meningitis. The study involved 20 patients with suppurative and 66 with viral meningitis. Control group included 26 patients without nervous system disease. To estimate the degree of blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier damage albumin and
