A histochemical study of the enzyme profile of Krabbe's cells revealed a high activity of lysosomal enzymes, including the tartrate-resistant isoenzyme of acid phosphatase, and considerable activity of extralysosomal nonspecific esterase and mitochondrial and extramitochondrial dehydrogenases.
