Cheshire3-Termine Demonstration using Medline Abstracts
This interface allows users to filter documents in the Medline abstracts collection as a preliminary stage to finding the significant terms for that topic. Simply enter a word or phrase into the box below and press submit to perform the process and view your results, ranked by calculated significance.
Sample searches include:
'myocardial infarction', 'breast cancer' or 'mass spectrometry'
The purpose of this demonstration is to show how a text mining tool (Termine) can be integrated with the Cheshire3 framework. In this case, we have put a wrapper around Termine and used the results to index the documents at run-time. Other tools could be integrated in a similar fashion for tools wishing to use the power of Cheshire3 with little work involved, or could be integrated more closely with the system for faster performance.
If you have used the Cheshire/Termine Service, please complete a
questionnaire to tell us how useful you found the service.
